Shoot Latin America’s goal is to educate producers, production companies, advertising agencies, photographers and others that have an interest in shooting a project in the countries in Latin America.
Shoot Latin America is a unique service started in 2004 by Karen Watts, an experienced production industry professional, who has intimate knowledge about the countries in Latin America. As a specialist in marketing and promotion, Karen has been at the forefront of the creative aspects of this region and has been instrumental in publicizing and promoting Latin America globally. Her knowledge and familiarity of the different country’s locations, is extensive.
As a liaison between Latin American governments and production companies/services and international producers, Shoot Latin America not only promotes these countries but keeps the international production community informed of Latin America news related to location filming. Through our regularly updated “Press Releases” section, producers can learn about unique locations, incentives, changes in government regulations, and the experiences of filmmakers who have shot in these countries.
One of the rare aspects of this service is the fact that Watts and SLA does not promote just one country but a whole region. As a “gringa” she is not affiliated with any one country or nationality so her views are objective. It is all about the needs of the producer, as which location or service best fits their requirements.
